Lindsey Dils Bruggenschmidt is a Zionsville native and practices family law, criminal defense and estate planning/administration.  She earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 2010, but has been an integral component of the firm since 2005.

Prior to being a licensed attorney, Lindsey worked alongside her mother, Pamela Buchanan, as the firm’s legal assistant wherein Pam mentored her in both criminal defense and family law.  Lindsey works with her husband, J. Alex Bruggenschmidt, in estate planning and estate administration.  Lindsey has ample courtroom experience and believes that personal attention is the fundamental component of a successful resolution for each client.

Lindsey graduated from Zionsville High School in 2002 and obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in 2005, where she double majored in English and Political Science and minored in French.  During her time in Bloomington, Lindsey studied abroad in Paris, France, worked at the Indiana Daily Student and Residential Programs and Services and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).  She was honored on the Dean’s List during several semesters and was the recipient of the Edward Hutton International Experiences Grant.  While in law school, Lindsey worked as the firm’s legal assistant, tutored students in legal writing for the Dean’s Tutorial Society and volunteered with the Protective Order Pro Bono Program.  In 2009, she received the Honorable Allen F. Wharry scholarship.

Currently, Lindsey is an active volunteer for the Boone County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program where she works to further the best interests of abused and/or neglected children.  She is a member of Boone County’s Zonta International organization and the Zionsville and Boone County Chambers of Commerce.  She is also a member of the Boone County, Indianapolis, Indiana and American Bar Associations.
